Congratulations to the Unity Women's and Men's Track Teams for both finishing 2nd at the Barron meet last night. Both teams had multiple Personal Records set!! Congratulations to Raegan for breaking the school pole vault record with a vault of 11’ 3”. Any Senior who has received an outside scholarship, please come to the office by Friday to give us the information. Student Council applications for next year have been emailed to all students. Applications and staff recommendations are due Friday, May 7th. See Mrs. Wilhelm if you have any questions. There will be a meeting on Wednesday (May 12th), from 8:15am-8:45am in the PAC, for all current 8th grade - 11th graders who plan on playing football in the fall. Your super cool middle school teachers are planning a full day of activities for you to participate in on June 1st. Some people may call it Valley Fair at School and other people may call it The Best Day of Their Life...either way, it's going to be FUN and you don't want to miss it! In order to be eligible for this amazing day, you must have no more than 1 major and no suspensions of any kind from May 5th - June 1st, have no Is at the end of the Trimester 3 and have your iPad turned in and any fines paid. Congratulations to Jayda Heilig and Sophie Albrecht in setting personal bests in total pounds lifted and in reaching new goals on specific lifts during the Elk Mound Region 1 Powerlifting Tournament at the beginning of Spring Break! Jayda took 1st in her weight division, broke her personal best with 645 total pounds in lifts, and got her personal best bench, pushing 135 with ease! Sophie got a personal best in all three of her lifts, joining the 500 Pound club with a total of 520 pounds in total lifts! Way to represent Unity! The clubs will be collecting donations to donate to the Women's Shelter. All HOM teachers will be given a donation box on Friday. All donations should be placed in the box. Additionally- Donations will be collected from February 8-18th and if we receive 500 donated items, Mr. Fugate will get pied in the face! Welcome to Winterfest 2021! This year we decided to put a spin on Snowball Week and instead, have Winterfest Days. Each Thursday in February we will have a dress up day, and games during HOM hour, highlight our clubs and activities and other fun events. Our dress up day this week is Pattern Day: Freshmen - Stripes, Sophomores - Neon Juniors - Camo Seniors - Tie Dye Staff - Polka Dots If you would like to participate in the HOM games, please fill out the form that was sent to your email. Please join the Student Council as we celebrate winter all month long! FFA Meetings will be moved to Wednesdays for the entire month of February to avoid overlap with the Winterfest activities during HOM. Please be sure to join the FFA chapter meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays and FFA officer meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. Rebekah Robinson is a senior at Unity High School and is the daughter of Brandon and Lisa Robinson. She is an academic all star and currently holds a 4.08 GPA! She is also involved in FBLA, Student Council, Kinship, National Honors Society, volleyball, soccer and an active member of her church. She is always willing to help others and goes out of her way to do so. She is an incredible leader! The Unity SkillsUSA Chapter will be having their second annual Woodworking and Welding Competition next week to celebrate Skills week.
